Electrocoating
E-coat is a primer paint most commonly used within the automotive industries, while also having some other commercial applications. With the coating being electrically deposited it has the ability to reach places where complex part configuration and high rack densities are present. This paint process is fully automatic and controllable, offering precise film build over the entire metal substrate. E-coat has superior corrosion resistance which meets or exceeds the most rigorous automotive specifications for salt spray and accelerated corrosion tests.
Why E-coat?
Coverage
Entire part surface is in contact with the paint, meaning that all surfaces of the part receive the full coating.
Electrodeposition
Controllability of the electrical current allows a predictable and consistent thickness of coating to be applied to the entire surface.
Reduce Waste
Environmentally Friendly
E-coating has lower volatile organic content (VOC) emissions, lower paint usage, and lower energy usage when compared to solvent based application.
3-Main Advantages of E-Coating
Cost Effective & Environmentally Friendly.
Excellent Corrosion Resistance – Meeting or exceeding 1000 hours of salt spray testing.
Gloss finish provides for a cosmetic appearance appealing to the final Customer.
